I went to the site mentioned below. On it, I saw the following:

Bush named Jesus Christ as Lord of his life on public TV. Not an Oblique reference to being "born-again" or having a "life change." He actually said the phrase, "Jesus Christ!"

And my response to this is: SO WHAT! There are TONS of unregenerate people who say publicly that Jesus is the Lord of their lives. There are TONS of unregenerate people who say the phrase "Jesus Christ." This means NOTHING. The question is this: What GOSPEL do they believe? What GOSPEL does George W. Bush believe? Is it the TRUE GOSPEL of salvation conditioned on the atoning blood and imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ alone? Or is it a FALSE GOSPEL of salvation conditioned on the sinner? Those who believe the TRUE GOSPEL believe that it is the work of Jesus Christ ALONE that makes the difference between salvation and damnation. They believe that the work of Jesus Christ ensured the salvation of all whom He represented. But what of most who call themselves Christians? They believe that Jesus Christ died for everyone without exception. Thus, they DO NOT believe that it is the work of Christ alone that makes the difference between salvation and damnation; instead, they believe it is the work of the SINNER that makes the difference. MOST people who are not afraid to publicly proclaim that Jesus Christ is the Lord of their lives believe a FALSE GOSPEL of salvation conditioned on the sinner. Thus, even though they name the name of Jesus Christ, they believe in a false christ, a false god, and a false gospel. For anyone who is interested, there is a web site that proclaims the TRUE GOSPEL of salvation conditioned on the atoning blood and imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ alone. It is at www.outsidethecamp.org. There is a series of sermons on The Gospel in manuscript form at www.outsidethecamp.org/sermons.htm. Jesus Christ said that all who do not believe the gospel are unregenerate (Mark 16:16). The gospel, which is the power of God unto salvation, reveals the righteousness of God (Romans 1:16-17). The righteousness of God is manifested in salvation conditioned on the atoning blood and imputed righteousness of Christ alone, without the deeds of the law, showing God to be both just and justifier (Romans 3:21-26). Those who are ignorant of this righteousness are going about to establish a righteousness of their own and have not submitted to the righteousness of God (Romans 10:3); they are unregenerate. Those who speak peace to any who bring a false gospel of salvation conditioned on the sinner are also unregenerate (2 John 11). So what about George Bush? Does he believe the TRUE GOSPEL, or does he believe a FALSE GOSPEL? What about those of you reading this right now? Do you believe the TRUE GOSPEL, or do you believe a FALSE GOSPEL?

To God alone be the glory,

Marc D. Carpenter
